A Lovely Central London Winter Wedding
It was early December last year when I headed into Central London for The Savile Club Wedding of Ellie and Simon.
Ellie had been in touch with me via her father, John, a keen photographer who often listens to my podcast.
It was nice to see him relax on the day without a camera in hand. And what a day it was!
My day started at The Rosewood Hotel in Holburn for some bridal prep before I took the short walk to St Etheldreda's Roman Catholic Church.
I've shot at St. Etheldreda's several times, and it's a church I enjoy visiting. According to Wikipedia, The building is one of only two surviving in London from the reign of Edward I and dates from between 1250 and 1290. The Church is dedicated to Æthelthryth, or Etheldreda, the Anglo-Saxon saint who founded the monastery at Ely in 673. It was the chapel of the London residence of the Bishops of Ely.
It was here that I met Pearl for the first time, the lovely wedding planner from Pearl, Rock and Raven who would help coordinate the day.
A traditional Catholic ceremony was followed by a quick whiz through The West End in a friends car to The Savile Club in Mayfair.
The journey in the car was great fun. London was busy with Christmas shoppers who all got into the spirit and waved and cheered as the wedding car sped through the streets.
Some touching speeches preceded a night of partying and dancing.
I head off in the cold London night knowing that Simon and Ellie are absolutely made for each other, and I'm sure they will have a long and happy marriage together.
The Savile Club Wedding - The Photofilm
All my clients receive a 4K photofilm, compiled of a series of images that showcase their weddings for friends and family. The Photofilm is perfect, of course, for keeping on smartphones or tablets but more importantly as a constant and easily accessible reminder of the wedding day.
This Photofilm is entirely monochrome, which looks amazing. Ellie & Simon, and all my clients, get all images in both colour and black & white as standard.
