Wedding at Lambeth Palace
The most amazing wedding of Pete & Jeannie
My friends, Pete and Jeannie got married.
I’ve known Pete and Jeannie for quite some time, and it was fantastic to be there with them, with my camera, on their unforgettable wedding day.
Rowers Weddings seem to be a theme for me recently, having shot the wedding of Monica & Nick at Leander Club a few weeks back.
This time, however, it was the wedding of Pete and Jeannie who chose the beautiful Crypt Chapel at Lambeth Palace as the setting for their incredibly intimate wedding.
Along with being an accomplished athlete, Pete is also an incredible photographer and I interviewed him on a Podcast I co-present. And Jeannie is one of the most positive, bubbly people I have ever met. They make a wonderful couple.
The wedding was incredibly intimate, presided over by The Most Revd Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, a joy to work alongside and a remarkably humble human being.
Being late Autumn, it was a simple candlelit ceremony with an atmosphere that you can only imagine in The Crypt. The ceremony was touching, poignant, beautiful, romantic, and simply lovely.
Close family and friends were in attendance, and with a late dinner at Avenue in St. James’s, it was the perfect day for them.
As a Wedding Photographer, it’s a privilege to spend so much time with people in the embryonic stages of their lives together as married couples.
However, it’s even more special when the two people are ones that you have seen the relationship grow, blossom and bloom. Through all kinds of twists and turns in life, there was only one destination for Jeannie and Pete. And that was love, marriage and happiness.
Much Love, Pete & Jeannie.
