Wedding at Gosfield Hall ~ Emma & Stacy

Stacy & Emma Exchange a glance during their Wedding at Gosfield Hall

Summer had arrived when I headed to Essex for the Wedding at Gosfield Hall of Stacy and Emma.

It’s always a pleasure to work at this venue, and the bridal suite is one of the most impressive I’ve come across—spacious, elegant, and perfect for capturing those quiet moments before the day gets underway.

After documenting the bridal prep, I made my way to the Long Library, where the ceremony was set to take place, and caught up with Stacy and his groomsmen. There’s always a certain energy before a wedding ceremony—nerves, excitement, anticipation—and it’s great to be able to photograph those moments as they unfold naturally.

Soon enough, Emma and her dad made their way down the aisle, and it was a privilege to capture those fleeting glances between her and Stacy. The moment they reached for each other’s hands, you could see the tension melt away—a subtle but meaningful moment that says so much.

For me, documentary wedding photography is about capturing these moments without interference. I work silently and with absolute respect for the emotion of the day, ensuring that nothing is staged or forced. It’s all about preserving those real, unscripted interactions—the way parents watch their children say their vows, the way a couple looks at each other when they think no one else is watching.

Once Stacy and Emma made their way outside, the love and warmth from their family and guests was unmistakable—hugs, laughter, and that incredible post-ceremony energy that makes weddings so special. With the weather on their side, they had the classic Gosfield Hall confetti moment, cascading down the steps onto the lawn.

One of the things I love about my approach is knowing that these images will stand the test of time. My editing style—my signature filmic look—ensures that the moments I capture aren’t shaped by passing trends or filters. Instead, the tones, contrast, and depth are timeless, allowing couples to relive their day just as it happened, years down the line.

Here are a few of my favourite images from Stacy and Emma’s wedding—I hope you enjoy them.
