The Wedding Couple at Cripps Stone Barn

Why I Love this Wedding Mini Story

Wedding Photography at Cripps Stone Barn

Charity & Han-Rui at their Cripps Stone Barn Wedding

Wedding bookings are starting to come in later in 2021 and 2022, which is lovely to see. I can't wait to get back out shooting weddings once the pandemic is behind us.

In the meantime, if you are a regular visitor to my wedding photography blog, you will see I've been looking at some stories-within-stories from weddings I've photographed in the past.

This time, I'm revisiting a lovely sequence during Han Rui and Charity's wedding ceremony at Cripps Stone Barn.

When I speak to my wedding photography students, I always encourage them to think of each part of the wedding day as a mini-story.

Overall, the pictures will tell a concise story, but there is much more to observe in every aspect of the wedding day.

The images below were taken over eleven minutes. I love the connection and emotion shown between Han Rui and Charity. But I keep my eye out for the reactions and feelings of parents and family members too.

It's hard to believe that this wedding was five or six years ago, as I remember this particular moment so well.

It's a beautiful set of images of a lovely couple.

I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

This post is part of my Why I Love this Wedding Picture series where I describe why I, as the photographer, love a particular image or series of photographs. You can, of course, see some full Wedding Stories and even more on the Journal and Wedding Photofilm pages.
