Talbot Hotel Ripley Wedding Photography
The Wonderful Easter Wedding of Dan & Pru
A few months back Pru and Dan asked me to be their Talbot Inn Wedding Photographer.
Pru had actually approached me to shoot her wedding as she had seen the images I had made at a friend of her wedding previously.
It was Easter Saturday and the most glorious of days in this Surrey Pub.
The first real sunny day of the year if I remember rightly.
As is often the case, some time is spent by me with Pru and her bridal party.
Thereafter, we headed across the courtyard to the ceremony room.
The Talbot Inn at Ripley
The Talbot Inn at Ripley is a beautiful old country pub and according to its website is;
Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Surrey village of Ripley, The Talbot stands as one of the country’s most storied and historic coaching inns.
Boasting many period features from throughout its 500-year history, as well as the benefits of an extensive contemporary refurbishment, our 43 bedrooms stand alongside extensive meeting and conferencing facilities, in addition to summer gardens and a large terrace.
The ceremony was in the adjacent coach house.
The kindly Surrey Wedding Registrars did a lovely job of the ceremony and thereafter, everybody went outside for confetti bubbles and drinks.
Telling Stories
As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, I love the fact that I shoot in such varying places weekly.
Therefore, Pub Weddings are always fun-filled and allow me to roam and be at my creative best.
I know they will have a long and happy life together as Mr & Mrs.
It’s important for me to look for those candid moments at every wedding, of course.
However, there is something about a good old fashioned British Pub Wedding that really fuels a passion for storytelling.
Dogs, Speeches and Outside Dancing
See how many pooches you can spot at this wedding?
As mentioned, the weather was glorious and it seemed totally natural to have the emotion-filled speeches outside.
This, naturally, led to the dancing and the start of the evening party also being outside.
Upon leaving, I knew this was a party that was going to go on long into the night.
Prue and Dan are a lovely couple, as are their friends and family.
