Winter Wedding in the Heart of the Scottish Countryside

Emily & Jack exchange rings at Rosebery House Temple

A Wonderful Winter Wedding at Rosebery House and Rosebery Steadings, Scotland

It was a chilly December day when I headed North to the Edinburgh countryside for the wedding of Emily & Jack.

Due to COVID, it had taken some planning and re-organising. Still, with Emily having an American family, it was imperative that as many of them as possible could be at the wedding to celebrate.

Although I’ve photographed many weddings in Scotland, this was my first time at Rosebery Steadings, and a more beautiful setting for a wedding you will be hard pushed to find in the whole of Scotland.

The Rosebery House Temple, nestled in the gardens of Rosebery House, was the setting for the intimate, candlelit ceremony followed by a short trip across the valley to Rosebery Steadings for an evening of love, laughter and celebration.

As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, I often mention that it is lovely for me to get free rein to wander and photograph such a fantastic wedding. The venue staff at Rosebery Venues could not have been more helpful, and as I left Emily, Jack and their friends and family for the long drive home, I know they were in for a long, fun evening of dancing and merriment.

Rosebery House Wedding Photography - The Photofilm

All my clients receive a 4K photofilm, compiled of a series of images that showcase their weddings for friends and family. The Photofilm is perfect, of course, for keeping on smartphones or tablets but more importantly as a constant and easily accessible reminder of the wedding day.

This Photofilm is entirely monochrome, which looks amazing. Emily & Jack, and all my clients, get all images in both colour and black & white as standard.

“Thank you SO much for the beautiful pictures and perfect capture of our day. They turned out wonderfully, I just can’t express how much we appreciate it. We’ll absolutely be ordering prints, perhaps an album as well - we plan to go through them properly over the weekend and start ordering.”

Below are some of my personal favourites from the wedding of Emily & Jack.

You will notice that all the images in this particular story are monochrome. This suited the wedding perfectly, but remember that all my clients receive all their wedding photographs in both colour and monochrome.
