Emily & Sam were married at St Mary the Virgin Church, Parson's Lane, Ewelme, before a wonderful reception at the quirky Crooked Billet in Stoke Row.

The Crooked Billet in Stoke Row is one of those venues that makes my job as a documentary wedding photographer an absolute pleasure. This 16th-century pub, tucked away in the Oxfordshire countryside, offers a blend of rustic charm and cosy ambience that’s hard to beat.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the venue’s character—low-beamed ceilings, open fireplaces, and the warm, inviting atmosphere that permeates every corner.

It’s a space that feels lived-in and loved, perfect for capturing the genuine, unguarded moments that define a wedding day.
