Champagne – Why I love this Wedding Photo

As I mentioned in my previous post about this wedding at Chateau de Lisse, the marriage of Robbie and Mara was a hot, but fun-filled day.

As is often the case, I started my day photographing the girls getting ready in the gorgeous rooms of the Chateau.

Also, as I mentioned in the previous bridal prep photography post, there is always activity, excitement, fun and entertainment during this part of the day.

In this case, Mara and her bridesmaids decided to open a bottle of Champagne to have with their morning croissants.

As you know, I'm a documentary wedding photographer, which means except for a possible couple of group shots, I don't interact or set-up shots.

I prefer to present my clients with a sincere and honest representation of what happened, rather than what the photographer made happen.

Sometimes, moments occur that just scream out to be photographed, and this was one of those moments.

Mara, opening the rather lively Champagne is just a part of this image, but for me, what makes it is the other girls' faces too.

And of course, the bubbles exploding everywhere.

Lot's of fun and a charming photograph that I love, and I hope you like it too.
