Street Photography Workshops
Explore the art of observation, storytelling, and real moments through immersive, hands-on street photography workshops.
See the Streets Differently.
There’s something magical about street photography — the unscripted moments, the fleeting gestures, the quiet stories happening in plain sight. My workshops are designed to help you slow down, observe more, and photograph with intent.
Whether you're completely new to street work or looking to refine your voice, these workshops aren't just about settings or gear — they’re about seeing.
You’ll walk away not just with better photos, but with a deeper understanding of how to approach the world as a documentary photographer.
“Excellent workshop, I had never done or been inspired by Street Photography, but now I am addicted. Kevin has an excellent approach to his workshops, he balances informality with enough direction to inspire you through the day.” - Simon Baker
Ready to Hit the Streets?
Here’s what’s coming up in the UK & Beyond. From the bustle of London to the quiet corners of Oxford, each workshop is a unique chance to shoot, learn, and grow.
Workshop Calendar
The calendar below shows all of my upcoming in-person workshops—not just the ones listed on this page. So, along with Street Photography Workshops, you’ll also see dates for Fujifilm training, Wedding Photography sessions, and everything else.
What You’ll Learn on the Streets
This is more than a photo walk. With a maximum of just six participants, every workshop is built to give you personal guidance, real-time feedback, and the confidence to shoot with purpose.
You’ll take on a range of structured exercises throughout the day, designed to help you:
Shoot candidly and instinctively
Understand your camera more
Overcome the fear of photographing strangers
Work with themes, stories, and visual rhythm
Practice zone focusing and getting in close
Make stronger decisions about light, composition, and timing
Whether you’re brand new to street photography or looking to refine your documentary voice, this is a hands-on, immersive day of learning — all grounded in real-world shooting, not classroom theory.
"The exercises were a game-changer — I’ve never felt more confident shooting on the street."
What to Expect on the Day
Most workshops run from 2 pm to 6 pm — ideal for catching great light and avoiding rush hour travel.
We’ll usually start with coffee, introductions, and a short theory session before heading out for a full afternoon of guided shooting, exercises, and one-to-one support.
There’s usually a short break halfway through to regroup and recharge.
After the workshop, you’ll also be invited to a complimentary online editing session to pick up a few post-processing tips.
Exact times can vary — be sure to check the individual workshop listings for full details.
Street photography in colour is about more than just vibrant tones — it’s about how light interacts with the world, how colour shapes mood, and how fleeting moments unfold in real time.
Every image here reflects the core ideas we’ll explore together: light, composition, and the decisive moment.
Who These Workshops Are For
These workshops are for anyone who loves photography and wants to tell stories with their camera — whether you're just starting out or have years of experience behind you.
You don’t need a top-end camera. In fact, you could turn up with a phone if you wish. What matters is curiosity, the willingness to slow down, and a desire to learn how to really see — to observe light, people, and the quiet details happening all around us.
The pace is gentle, with regular stops for tuition and no sprints — though we do walk a fair bit over the course of the sessions. If you’re comfortable being on your feet for a few hours, you’ll be just fine.
I’ve worked with total beginners, keen hobbyists, professional photographers, and people simply looking to reconnect with their creativity.
If you've ever hesitated to raise your camera in public or want to shoot with more purpose, this is for you.
Stripping away colour brings the focus back to what really matters: light, form, timing, and story. Monochrome street photography is where composition and moment do the heavy lifting — and where emotional impact often speaks loudest.
These images reflect the quiet power of seeing simply and intentionally.
