The Gorgeous Summer Wedding of Amy & Ed

The Entire Family Were Present for Amy & Ed’s Lovely Wedding

A Lovely Home-venue wedding in the Hertfordshire Countryside

A few weeks ago, Amy & Ed commissioned me to be their Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer. It was a fantastic event at a private home, with all their friends, family and pets in attendance.

Amy & Ed completed the legal part of the marriage the day before, and the ceremony on the day was conducted in a mock-roman ruin in a nearby barley field.

Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer - The Photofilm

All my clients receive a 4K photofilm, compiled of a series of images that showcase their weddings for friends and family. The Photofilm is perfect, of course, for keeping on smartphones or tablets but more importantly as a constant and easily accessible reminder of the wedding day.

Bridal Prep

As I often do, I started my day with Amy and her bridal party at the tail end of them getting ready.

I could already tell the excitement was brewing, with a lovely view of the marquee, a constant reminder of what lay ahead. And what lay ahead was a memorable ceremony and a great wedding party.

Hertfordshire Wedding Ceremony

The humanist ceremony was conducted in a local barley field, resplendent in the summer sunshine and fashioned around a mock roman ruin.

Ed and his guests waited patiently while the band played, and the ever-present dogs wandered around like any family member - quite rightly.

Amy came down the short aisle with her dad, and after a brief but lovely ceremony, it was time for Amy and Ed to greet their guests, shower in confetti and head back to the marquee for the afternoon celebrations and wedding breakfast.

Hertfordshire Wedding Reception

Once the confetti had settled and the short walk to the marquee completed, the reception commenced.

The magician was magical, and the band kept everybody entertained for a few hours before the short speeaches and cake cutting.

The marquee was perfect as the sun beat down, with the sides open to keep everybody cool and relaxed.

Of course, the dogs were not left out and helped themselves on a few occasions to parts of the wedding breakfast - though I'm not sure they were officially on the table plan.

The Dancing

And so to the party. And what a party it was. Ed and Amy had commissioned me to stay until midnight, and once the singer had got into the full flow - so did the dancing and partying.

It was a wonderful wedding, and I left, at midnight, to the sounds of Bon Jovi and many pairs of feet tapping away.

I'm sure this wedding will live long in the memory of not only Amy & Ed but their whole friends and family......and the dogs, of course.
