My Friend Dave - A GFX Portrait
It's almost Christmas, and for those that celebrate, I wish you a very happy and peaceful holiday period.
There is time for one final post of 2020, and I hope you will indulge me for one moment.
It has been peculiar for all of us. Especially those whose businesses have been affected, those who have been touched by the virus, and those at the forefront of fighting it.
As I type, I'm encouraged, and confident that 2021 will be better for us all, as long as the powers that be all pull in the same direction.
My Wedding photography business managed just three weddings for the whole of 2020. Compared to the 25-30, I would typically shoot.
I'm grateful, however, that we have had some support from the government and I've managed to "pivot". Which, in many ways, may open a new set of doors for me next year.
One thing I'm grateful for is my friends and family. One of my projects to keep my mojo going is to try and make more portraits of the important people in my life.
And here is the first in a series I'm going to title "The Daddies".
This is my very good friend Dave. It's shot on a GFX100 with GF45mm F2.8 Lens @ F4. ISO 2,000 and Shutter Speed 1/400th.
I used a constant light source for this and edited it from RAW in Photoshop.
See you next year,
Kevin
