A beautifully Intimate Wiltshire Covid-19 Wedding

Everybody in the Wedding industry has been impacted massively by COVID-19 issues. But, the world keeps spinning, and one thing is for sure, love always overcomes adversity.

So, it was lovely for me to photograph a neighbours wedding recently.

My neighbours are a wonderful couple, obviously very much in love and with a new member of the family imminent they felt they would not let this pesky-bug affect their plans too much. A larger, grand wedding had downscaled to a small, family-only celebration at the Chippenham Registry office.

I was not allowed into the ceremony itself, and that’s understandable given the circumstances.

It was strictly immediate family only. So I stayed outside with a few of the other guests, and it was lovely to be able to photograph them watching the wedding on a live feed via their mobile phones.

You won’t get to experience this in the film and stills below, but outside we could hear the cheers inside as they said “I do” which was a lovely touch for those watching on the phones outside.

I photographed around the edges, as you must in situations like this, but I get a real sense of love from these pictures.

Here is the short wedding Photofilm. An adorable series of clips that I know will give my neighbours very happy memories for all the years ahead of them as a married couple.
