The Final Touches
Why I Love These Wedding Photos
This post is part of my Why I Love this Wedding Picture series, where I describe why I, as the photographer, love a particular image or series of photographs.
I recently photographed a beutiful wedding at St. Giles House in Wimborne, Dorset.
While I have yet to feature the wedding on this site, I am sharing a small sequence from Isobel's bridal prep time.
Around half of my clients choose to have Bridal Prep photography. For those that do, I usually spend about forty-five minutes photographing the busyness and excitement of the final moments before the bride heads down the aisle to her waiting husband.
In this case, with the beutiful Bridal Suite at St. Giles as a backdrop, there were some final touches to makeup before the ever-so-important lacing up of the wedding dress.
As mentioned on this blog, I work with good light, composition, and moment principles to make a good wedding photograph.
As I shoot in a 100% candid style, I'm constantly looking for unique angles, great natural light and all the crucial moments.
Whilst some photographers will stage these images, my work must showcase the real moments from the day, not a fairytale-driven narrative of mine - rather the actual, beautiful moments that occurred in real life.
I Love these Wedding Photos and I hope you do too.
