A Gorgeous Marque Wedding in Taunton

Wedding at Widcome Grange

Alex & Tim Start Their Journey as Man and Wife.

A Wonderful Autumn Wedding at St Peter & St Paul's Church, Churchstanton and nearby Widcombe Grange

As weddings started to open up fully, I had an incredibly busy September. Alex & Tim were married at the quaint St Peter & St Paul's Church, Churchstanton followed by a marquee reception at Widcombe Grange in the Taunton Countryside.

As with many of the weddings currently happening, this one had been re-arranged several times due to the pandemic. However, Alex and Tim created a beautiful English Wedding at unique locations with a fantastic vibe for their friends and family.

As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, it was an excellent opportunity for me to blend in, mix and shoot in my relaxed storytelling style.

Widcombe Grange Wedding - The Photofilm

All my clients receive a 4K photofilm, compiled of a series of images that showcase their weddings for friends and family. The Photofiulm is perfect, of course, for keeping on smartphones or tablets but more importantly as a constant and easily accessible reminder of the wedding day.

Click the play button on the film below to follow Alex and Tim’s wedding day.

I hope you enjoyed the film. Below are some of my personal favourite images from the 450+ that Alex and Time received.

Widcombe Grange Wedding - Selected Stills

The day started with some shots of the bridal party busy in the kitchen putting the last-minute finishes to some table decorations as Alex was getting ready in the living room.

It was brilliant to see everybody sharing duties, and I could sense the excitement of the day growing by every minute that passed.

It was only a short drive to perhaps one of the most quintessentially English churches I’ve photographed in my 500+ weddings to date—the fantastic St. Peter & Paul at Chruchstanton.

The vicar was here to meet the gathering guests, and in time, the bridal party as they arrived.

Going back many years, an old tradition is for the groomsmen to play a small practical joke on the groom. See if you can spot it during the service images below.

Once the friends and family gave them hugs and the confetti thrown, it was back to Widcombe Grange for a garden drinks reception and wedding banquet.

After that followed a set of very humorous speeches, and the dancing proceeded into the night as I left.

A charming, tender wedding, and I know that Alex and Tim will have a long and happy marriage together.
