Lake Windermere Wedding

Autumnal Miller Howe Wedding of Rebecca & Charles

A Gorgeous Lakeside Wedding at Miller Howe, Lake Windermere

It was a blustery, autumn day when I made the journey up to Lake Windermere for Charles and Rebecca's intimate, but beautiful wedding.

Happy tears, smiles, board games and lots of fun was the order of the day.

Thank you, Kevin. They look fantastic!!!!!

Can’t wait to spend more time reliving the day throughout the weekend. You’ve really captured some great moments - exceeding our extremely high expectations.
Charles (who is currently driving) says every shot is like a piece of artwork - he loves them!

Thanks again for everything and for the craft you’ve put into documenting our day.

Lake Windermere Wedding - The Stills

Those of you from the UK will likely have visited Lake Winderemere on holiday or family trips.

Windermere is a large lake in Cumbria’s Lake District National Park. It’s surrounded by mountain peaks and villages, including Bowness-on-Windermere, where The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is housed.

Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to the boutique hotel, Miller Howe.

My day started with the ceremony, and it was immediately apparent to me how much Charles and Rebecca had put into planning the details of their wedding.

Both Rebecca and Charles are huge fans of board games, and this was a common theme throughout the day.

Shortly before the wedding breakfast, I spotted the newly married couple heading off for a few moments by themselves on the banks of the Great Lake.

As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, I don't stage or direct these events, and it's crucial for me that the couple can enjoy these moments together without interruption.

The speeches were performed in the drawing-room as darkness fell. Everybody crammed into the cosy room which had a lovely relaxed feel to it.

Once the first dance was completed, it was time for me to start the long drive home.

I know Charles and Rebecca had a lovely day at Miller Howe, and I'm sure they will be very happy together - they are a beautiful, fun and happy couple.
