Documentary Wedding Photography France ~ Emily & Paddy
Each year I shoot a few "destination weddings" and, recently it was time for me to shoot documentary wedding photography France, once more.
I headed off to Jegun, in the South West of France for the sublimely beautiful wedding of Emily & Paddy.
It may sound like a cliche, but as a wedding photographer, I do feel incredibly honoured to be part of people's wedding day and this, of course, was no exception.
I arrived late the previous evening and settled into my room to prepare for the day ahead.
I started early on the Sunday with bridal prep at the family home, which was a buzz of excitement and activity before heading into town to the gorgeous St-Candide, the church in Jegun.
While the temperature was in the mid-'30s, Paddy and his groomsmen were exceptionally chilled before the bride arrived with dad.
Almost all the guests had come from overseas, and after the ceremony, we walked the two kilometres or so back to the house.
There were drinks stations on the way, and Emily and Paddy met us towards the end of the walk and joined us for the final leg.
It was a beautiful place to have the wedding reception, and the weather enabled the speeches and dinner to take place in an open-sided marquee next to the pool.
The friends and family had a superb day, and it was the early hours before I left them to it and headed back to my room.
Below, you will see some of my favourite stills from Emily & Paddy's Documentary Wedding Photography France, but before the stills is an "Extended Highlights" photo film.
I hope you can spend just four minutes watching that monochrome fast-motion journey through the whole of their wedding day.
As ever, I hope you enjoy looking at these wedding photos as much as I enjoyed making them.
