Chateau de Lisse Wedding Photography
Back in June, I flew over to the South of France to shoot the Château de Lisse Wedding of Mara and Robbie.
Some of you may recall this weekend. It was an incredibly hot heatwave that struck the region. In fact, during the day, the temperature reached an incredible 44 degrees or so.
It was a very, very hot wedding. And the heat plaid a part in a few twists and turns throughout the day.

As mentioned, the day was incredibly hot. But in the relative coolness of this fantastic Château, the bride and groom prep proceeded as usual.
Of course, there was champagne and laughter a-plenty as the guests began assembling downstairs.
Once the prep was done, it was time for the ceremony - which was to be held in the fantastic courtyard at Château de Lisse.
However, the guests, celebrant and bride and groom realised shortly into the ceremony that it was simply too hot to continue.
The wonderful staff (planning and styling by The Impeccable Pear) at the chateau quickly arranged for everything to be moved into the fantastic (and much cooler) chapel.
As the temperature sizzled, guests took shelter inside or under trees.
Later, as the temperature mercifully dropped, the gourmet wedding breakfast was served. It was on the veranda with speeches and closely followed by some late-night dancing.
