Viltrox AF 75mm F/1.2 XF Pro Lens For Fujifilm X (Sample Images)

I’m enjoying using the Viltrox AF 75mm F/1.2 XF Pro Lens For Fujifilm X, and I will do a full review soon.

However, to whet the appetite, I wanted to share a few images I shot this last weekend.

One of my great friends, Gareth, organised a charity cycle ride from Castell Caernarfon to Castell Cas-Gwent (Chepstow) for the wonderful Fatboys Charity, which raises funds for Children with Cancer.

If you so wish, you can still support this mammoth effort via their Just Giving Fundraising Page.

Gareth himself is undergoing Chemo for Stage 4 cancer right now, so along with Ian, John and Simon, this was truly an enormous effort to cycle the whole length of Wales in under two days.

My role was as support driver and photographer, so I took the new Viltrox 75mm along for the ride (see what I did there?).

All images were edited with my Film Edition 3 Profiles & Presets.

As mentioned, I will do a full review once I’ve used the lens a bit more but I wanted to shoot as near to wide open when possible to really test the AF Tracking on the Fujifilm X-T5 along with the lovely depth of field offered by such a narrow aperture on this focal length camera.

It’s not the smallest of lenses, but it seems incredibly well-built, and I had no issues using it in the brutal weather at the top of the enormous mountain outside of Machynlleth.

All in all, I really enjoyed using the Viltrox 75mm F1.2 especially given I don’t have anything with that aperture in that focal range from the Fujfilm system.

More on this lens soon.
