November saw me shoot the beautiful winter Bickley Mill Inn Wedding of Kirsten and Chris.

Bickley Mill Inn is a beautiful place for a documentary style wedding photographer.

Even in the chilly winter months, it offers all kinds of opportunities for fantastic candid images.

Chris is an incredibly talented wedding photographer himself, and it's always nice to be trusted by fellow professionals.

As it was late November, the light was low for this Wedding, but the fun and happiness was almost tangible.

Having met Chris before, I knew he was a very bubbly character, and it was lovely to see his face as Kirsten walked down the aisle with her dad.

Once the ceremony, complete with impromptu guests' songs, was completed, it was time to head out onto the veranda for drinks and congratulations.

After that, there can be what I can only describe as an enormous amount of confetti before the guests headed inside.

Speeches, laughter, and drinks followed before the party began in earnest.

A note about the black and white nature of this wedding:

Many of my clients approach me because they love timeless black and white wedding photography.

I strongly believe in making my images full of emotion and love, but also stand the test of time.

None of the images I produce use fancy or trendy "Instagram filters" as they will simply look dated.

However, as with the Bickley Mill Inn Wedding Photography here, most of my clients choose to have their wedding photographs delivered in both colour and monochrome.

Of course, this gives them the best of both worlds, and regardless of the finish, they will have images to cherish forever.
