Badminton Horse Trials Photos

What is the Badminton Horse Trials?

The Badminton Horse Trials is an annual equestrian event in the park of Badminton House, Gloucestershire, England. It is one of the world's most prestigious three-day eventing competitions, featuring dressage, cross-country, and show jumping.

The event was first held in 1949 and has since become significant in the equestrian calendar.

The competition attracts top riders from around the world and is known for its challenging cross-country course, which features a variety of natural and man-made obstacles.

The Badminton Horse Trials is also known for its vibrant atmosphere and social scene, with various activities and events occurring throughout the competition.

Shooting with the Fujifilm GFX100S

Badminton has an open-photography policy, which is lovely to see. I took my Fujifilm GFX100S coupled with the GF63mm F2.8 R WR and the GF110mm F2 R LM WR Lenses.

Image Stabilsation in the Fujifilm GFX100S

The camera uses a 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) system that can compensate for camera shake and other types of movement. This means that even if you are shooting handheld or in low light conditions, as I was, the camera can help to stabilize the image and reduce blur.

The IBIS system in the Fujifilm GFX100S is awe-inspiring because it can provide up to 6 stops of stabilization. This means you can shoot at slower shutter speeds and still get sharp images (in most cases), which can be especially useful in low-light conditions or when shooting with longer lenses.

A Note about the Processing of These Images

All the images above were processed with my One-Click-Lightroom Profiles & Presets.

In the colour Images, I used the Classic Film Clean preset, and in the Monochrome Images, I used the Delta 800 Style Preset.
